Planning a wedding can be very stressful and amidst all the craziness, we can’t forget about taking care of ourselves. That’s why I’ve got some tips of self care for bride to be’s.
Remember to prioritise your mental and emotional well-being during this special time. Trust me, a happy and stress-free bride is the most beautiful one
So take a deep breath and remember to practice self-care, because you deserve it!
Here are some of my self care tips for the Bride To Be:
Well Being
Sometimes you just need to get out of your wedding zone and prioritise your self care which you might find through practices such as mindfulness, mediation, journaling, affirmations (I have another blog post on this as I share bridal affirmations on my Instagram page)
Exercise
Never underestimate the power of exercise to de-stress and to clear the mind. Even if you aren’t a gym bunny a 20 minute walk will do you the world of good when you are feeling overwhelmed with wedding planning
Skincare
We have all heard of the glowing bride! This is usually sometimes us brides love to do and when we are planning our wedding it is a great excuse to have a few more facials or treat ourselves to some luxury creams.
I did an Instagram live with Bronwyn Conway on all things wedding skincare. Click here if you fancy a listen
Time Out
This can be something as simple as popping on a face mask (see my Self Care Bride Box for the ultimate treat). Or even a long soak in the bath will help you switch off
Digital Detox
Do you go to bed at time and scroll and scroll? Well, you are not alone but we all know this isn’t good for switching off our brains especially if you are on Pinterest planning your wedding! Try your best to stop this or even have planned breaks from social media during the day
Sleep
I am a big believer in sleep or maybe it is because I cannot function on little sleep. Be sure to be getting even sleep/rest for your body. Also stay hydrated throughout the day. Not only will this be so good for your body, your skin will love it too
Friends
During stressful times planning your wedding lean on your family and friends. And ask for help when you need it. I guarantee you your friends will be delighted to help or to get a job!
Post Wedding
Don’t end your self care straight after the wedding. Keep up what you built into your routine and what made you feel good.
